Hello, my name is Raymond Thompson, I am from the Chicagoland area and am currently enrolled at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design on track to graduate with a BFA in Illustration. I am most interested in paleoart – the scientifically informed practice of bringing extinct organisms to life through art. I enjoy combining informative text with illustrative elements, as well as more traditional painting mediums.

I have done illustration work through my college with clients on more general nature-themed projects. My appreciation for the animals of prehistory even extends past my artistic process, and following the latest research in the field has become a cornerstone of my life.
